Every route in Birch has a status that indicates its current state.

| Pending | The route command has been sent and is waiting for confirmation from the router. |
| Complete | The router confirmed the crosspoint change. The signal is now routed. |
| Failed | The route could not be completed. The router reported an error or the command timed out. |
- Routing panel — Active routes are visually indicated on destination buttons.
- Dashboard — The “Recent Routes” section shows recent routes with their status.
- Real-time updates — Status changes appear automatically without refreshing the page.
