Organizations
Organizations are the top-level grouping in Birch. They isolate data, users, and devices so that multiple teams or facilities can use Birch independently.
What an organization contains
Section titled “What an organization contains”An organization groups together:
- Appliances (Nodes) — Devices deployed at facilities
- Routers — Connected to those appliances
- Users — Team members with access
- Routes — Active and historical routing data
- Configuration — Router settings, port names, preferences
Multi-organization support
Section titled “Multi-organization support”A single Birch user account can belong to multiple organizations. This is useful for:
- Service providers managing multiple client facilities
- Large enterprises with separate departments
- Integrators supporting multiple installations
When you sign in, if your account belongs to more than one organization, you’ll see an organization selector. You can switch between organizations without signing out.
