Signing In

Birch uses a cloud-hosted web interface for day-to-day router control.

Accessing the web interface

1. Open a browser and navigate to:

   https://staging.birchapp.net

2. Click “Sign In” — The authentication screen appears.

3. Enter your credentials — Use the email and password associated with your Birch account.

4. Select an organization — If your account belongs to multiple organizations, you’ll be prompted to choose one. Otherwise, you’ll be taken directly to the dashboard.

Local access

You can also access Birch directly through the appliance on the local network. This is useful when:

• You’re physically at the facility
• Internet connectivity is unavailable
• You need the lowest possible latency for routing

To access locally, navigate to:

http://<appliance-ip>:3001

Note

Local access still requires signing in. An internet connection is needed for the initial login. Once authenticated, the session persists locally.

Session management

• Sessions persist across browser refreshes and restarts.
• Signing out clears the session and returns to the sign-in page.
• If your session expires, you’ll be prompted to sign in again.
