Creating a Route

Creating a route connects a source signal to a destination output on your router hardware.

  1. Open the routing panel — Navigate to Routing in the sidebar.

  2. Select a source — Click a source button (green, top section). The selected source highlights.

  3. Select a destination — Click a destination button (orange, bottom section).

  4. Route executes — Birch sends the command to the router. The status appears as “Pending” and updates to “Complete” once the router confirms.

Source, destination, done.

To change what’s routed to a destination, select a new source and click the destination again. The new route replaces the previous one — there’s no need to clear the old route first.
